The Little Falls Rotary club welcomed Dave Keyser who spoke about Long Term care.
Having spent some time out west as well in North Caolina, where he taught, Dave returned to Little Falls to look after his parents. This lead him
to begin work in providing Long Term Care Insurance. He streesed the importance of planning for the future by starting as early as possible as costs are related to
the length of time to build up the equity in the policy. When working with a client, he looks at the estimated costs as these are continue to increase year
over year. Also, New York State has a 'look back' on a persons assets when the long term care is used so careful estate planning is also recommended.
Statistics indicate that women are in greater need of long term care insurance than men. This is becuase women may have devoted years looking after a parent or
spouse which places a greater strain on their body, often resulting in unexpected illnesses..
