Bradley Vrooman - March 6th 2013 - Situation Awareness for First Responders
|
|
Bradley Vrooman from Mohawk was the Little Falls Rotary Club Wednesday evening dinner meeting guest speaker.
He created and teaches 'Situation Awareness for First Responders', a program which he also created following the events at Webster
New York in 2012. The program centers on first responders being in a high threat, security related incident, which could be as
simple as a family dispute to a hostage stand-off or a potential sniper situation, as happened in western New York.
Earlier in life, he was a full-time serviceman with the Airborne Division, spending most of his time in Central America.
Following army service, he returned to this area and ran several businesses before becoming a paramedic and rejoining the Utica
National Guard.
He has state certification for search and rescue, including water rescue, and has reached the highest level of certification
as a Paramedic.
