Andria
De Lisle-Heath, Utica Zoo Executive Director, was the Little Falls
speaker at their Wednesday evening Rotary meeting.
The
Utica Zoo is an 80 acre park with over 40 acres developed as a zoo
and has a beautiful garden/trail-way area.
Located
off the parkway in the heart of Utica, the zoo has over 200 animals
representing 80 species.
The
zoo is a four season recreation center, offers snow-showing in the
winter, includes a great playground and from April through October,
Voss’s of Yorkville is the concession stand operator.
Lisle-Heath,
lifelong resident of Herkimer and Rotary Member, resides with her
husband Alan and has two children, Jordan and Spencer.
She
joined the zoo in 2011 having previously held the position from
1997-2011 as Executive Director of the American Red Cross of the
Mohawk Valley and between 1987-1997, Rape Crisis and Domestic Violence
program manager for the YWCA.
