Sandra
E. DeVisser of Utica, New York an artist and lecturer, made a presentation
to our club members about "relief paintings" and the varied
styles that have been produced over the years.
She brought in many samples of the basic wood and metal carvings
all the way up to the different overlay styles of modern day relief
art.
Rotarians were allowed to sit up close and see, touch and feel the
different styles of art relief that have been produced over the
last 100 years as she passed around paintings to look at up close.
Mrs. Devisser went into detail about how and with what materials
this style of art has been created.
She commented on the techniques, styles and time frame it took to
produce each type of art. Question and answer time followed at the
end of the presentation
